Draftosaurus is a fast and charming drafting game for 2–5 players in which everyone is competing to build the most visitor-friendly dinosaur park. Rather than passing cards around a table, players literally hold a fistful of colourful dinosaur meeples and choose one each turn to place into one of the pens on their personal zoo board. The twist: each round, one player rolls a die that imposes a placement restriction on everyone else, forcing you to think on your feet.

The zoo board comes double-sided — a friendlier Summer side for beginners and a more challenging Winter side for experienced players — and each pen scores points in a different way, rewarding you for filling a pen with identical dinosaurs, collecting a diverse mix, or meeting other specific conditions. This creates a satisfying puzzle where every pick matters and no two games play out the same way.

With a playtime of around 15 minutes and rules light enough for families, Draftosaurus punches well above its weight. It’s the kind of game that hits the table repeatedly because it’s so easy to teach, quick to play, and just tricky enough to keep everyone engaged.
