Granada, 1278. At the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, an ambitious architectural project is underway - the construction of the Alhambra. Master builders from across Europe and the Arab world arrive to prove their skill, each expecting to be paid in their own preferred currency. Success depends on careful planning, smart hiring, and always having the right money at the right time.

In Alhambra, players build their own palace complex by acquiring and placing building tiles. Towers, gardens, pavilions, arcades, and chambers must be arranged thoughtfully, with walls enclosing the growing city to maximise scoring opportunities.

Each turn, players choose to collect currency from the shared market, purchase a building, or reorganise their existing layout. Buildings are priced in one of four currencies, and paying the exact amount is rewarded with an extra turn - encouraging efficient and well-timed decisions.

Scoring happens throughout the game, rewarding players who collect the most buildings of each type and those who construct the longest continuous outer wall. When the building supply runs out, a final scoring decides who has created the most magnificent Alhambra.
